I am driving home, going slowly down an alley so that I can avoid the highway.  On the other side of the road, walking against traffic, on the sidewalk, is a man.  

He is Hispanic, with a growth of beard, but not a complete beard. He is wearing black sneakers, black jeans, a white Tee-shirt, and a dark grey hoodie. The hood is flipped back, showing his face and head.  His hair is black and he looks to be in his late 20's.  

I am taken aback.  He is not actually walking; rather he is skipping down the sidewalk, smiling like he doesn't have a care in the world.  His smile is contagious and I wonder if the pink bunny ears he is wearing are why he is smiling, of if he is smiling because he can see the reactions of the drivers.  The bunny ears are soft, and fuzzy, and he makes me happy to see someone that is taking so much joy in their day.

They do it on purpose.  They want to take over anything that gives them authority. They want to be police officers, medical technicians, pharmacists, therapists, lawyers, judges, and a host of other positions that exert authority over you.  They want to have power over you. I am at a salon, getting a pedicure. A man walks in, and greets the women in the salon, with a "Hello, Ladies!". His voice is a deep bass, and the respond back with warm hello's, asking him if he wants the usual. He is tall, African-American, with broad shoulders and athletic build.  He has a goatee that looks as if it is sculpted on his face, and curly hair cut very short.  He has warm eyes, and a grin that immediately says, "I could be your friend".  I'm relaxed and enjoying the rubbing and massage part of the pedicure.  The women who are working on me all had told me to get a color of nail polish, and I had to rebuff them no less than six times because I did not want any paint on my nails.  I would just ruin it, anyway.   Because of my nail polish color experience, I grin at him and tell him, "You should choose your color."  He does not miss a beat.  He puts his hands on his hips in a "super hero" fashion and cocks his hip a ...
